Clarkson Community High School (CHS) is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher – Mathematics and Physical Education to join our friendly team.
The successful applicant will be student and relationship focused, enthusiastic, innovative and motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. You will engage in ongoing self-reflection and assess the effectiveness of teaching practice to create an environment conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities which provide purposeful and relevant learning experiences that cater for different student learning needs. The successful applicant will also actively participate in planning around curriculum and programs to address the school’s core expectations.
Our planning and management are underpinned by Invitational Education Practices and consider how People, Places, Policies, Programs and Processes interact to improve our school and achieve better outcomes for our students. Clarkson CHS provides education in Years 7 to 12 in the North-Western suburbs of Perth; close to Butler and Merriwa. Clarkson CHS is at the centre of a thriving community and the school's interaction with our community enriches all learning opportunities.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.
