Bob Hawke College is seeking an organised and passionate Teacher - Health and Physical Education (HPE) and to join their friendly and collaborative teaching team.

The HPE Learning Area is growing rapidly as a high performing, innovative team. HPE teachers at Bob Hawke College are driven to provide a learning environment that enables students to engage in a experiential curriculum that is relevant, challenging, enjoyable and physically active. In addition, teachers of HPE at the College develop relationships and partnerships that enable students to participate in competitions and contemporary experiences that enhance the College based program. Staff should be highly engaged with evidence and research led teaching practice, and should be prepared for a working environment that requires a high level of collaboration and agility .

In this role, you will create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students, focussing on the development of the whole child. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers ):

  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.

Employees will be required to:
