Position Information

Erskine Park High School is a comprehensive Western Sydney school located in the Eastern Creek network of schools. The school’s 1035 enrolment includes 5% of students who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and a further 30% of students who come from backgrounds where English is an Additional Language or Dialect. The school also has a Support Unit of four classes. Key whole school initiatives include a BYOD program that harnesses an innovative use of technology; a focus on the explicit teaching of capabilities into classroom practice; inclusive high potential opportunities; vocational education and inclusive disability provision. The school is a member of the St Clair Erskine Park (STEPS) community of schools. School staff are supported by a wide range of community partnerships, including an active Parents and Citizen Association.

Selection Criteria

  • Approval to teach PDHPE 7-12, SLR Yr 11-12
  • Evidence of effective classroom practice that creates a culture of high expectations and accommodates for students with a wide range of learning needs through differentiated curriculum, classroom expectations and integration of technology
  • A demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community, through contributing to innovative learning opportunities that foster a commitment to every child being known, valued and cared for
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member of the PDHPE Faculty, contributing to programming, assessment and resource development and supporting whole school initiatives.


An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
